The ever-so-stunning J-Lo is known for always being on-point with makeup. As it turns out, the celebrity has been breaking a cardinal rule!
She can sing. She can dance, she can act. She’s great at everything she does, and now, at 54 years old, she looks just as stunning as she did when she was in her 20s – if not more! But is she breaking an important rule with her makeup? Let’s look more closely.
J-Lo Broke a Rule, and it Worked
Most recently, J-Lo showed everyone that breaking a rule or two might be more beneficial than people think. She was invited to an event to present an award to the fitness guru Tracy Anderson. At that event, she broke the ‘eyes or mouth’ rule of makeup. Instead of choosing one or the other to put the focus on, she wore a look that targeted both facial features.
Which raises the question, did it work? The answer? yes. To match her wonderful pink and white flower dress, Ms Lopez made her lips pop out with a stunning bright fushia color, and her eyelids were no less incredible with the perfect smokey look.
A Face in Focus
Her face was exceptional in every direction, and even though she kept the focus on her lips and eyes, she pulled it off disarmingly well, and we certainly don’t question her choice!
The look she displayed at the event might have been a little way away from her usual nude lips and shimmery (seen above), simple eye look, but J Lo knew how to pull it off completely. Even the surprise splash of pink on her lips did not phase her.
In her case – more was better with the smokey eyes, the bright lips, and the pink and white dress to compliment her face. Although, she did keep one thing simple so she wouldn’t pull focus away from her face. She kept her hair pulled back in a simple bun. Overall, a brilliant look from Jennifer Lopez, and a great event in celebration of entrepreneur and fitness icon Anderson.

Nicola and Brooklyn Beckham have yet to establish their fashion aesthetic as a couple. Considering how recognizable parents Victoria and David were in the 2000s, setting fashion trends seems important for the young couple. Recently, the young Beckhams have been seen paying homage to other couples’ looks, the latest of which was the Biebers’ “underdressed/overdressed” style.
Inspired by the Biebers
If you follow the latest celebrity news, you’ve probably heard of Hailey Bieber’s Dunkin Donuts collab event. She wore an elegant mini-red dress with strappy stiletto heels. Her husband, however, decided to show up in Crocs and a gray sweatshirt, significantly underdressed compared to Hailey. The contrast in their looks went viral and started debates on social media.
On a recent night out, Nicola Beckham went for a leather strapless black dress, platform stilettos, and bright red lipstick, which she rocked. Brooklyn Beckham, on the other hand, took inspiration from Justin Bieber with a backward baseball cap and a Foo Fighters T-shirt.
Nicola and Brooklyn Search for Inspiration
Nicola and Brooklyn Beckham’s outfits are unlikely to cause as much confusion as Hailey and Justin’s. The couple has yet to find their couple style and gain the same level of attention as the Biebers. But considering Hailey and Justin’s wardrobe journey, we’ll probably see the Beckhams dressing in identical looks soon, and we don’t think anyone would be surprised.
The question is this: do celebrity couples need to coordinate their outfits to match each other’s vibes, or should each person have their own style? As a model, Hailey has always been known for her incredible clothing pieces but Justin has never shown any interest in fashion and insists on wearing something comfy rather than sophisticated. Maybe Nicola and Brooklyn will establish a couple style in the future or simply follow their individual tastes.
