Adam Lambert featured a cover of Billie Eilish’s “Getting Older” track on his new album High Drama. While Lambert is now older than he was when he made his breakthrough as a contestant on American Idol, for the music video of his cover, he was thinking about how he’ll change even more in the future.
Adam Lambert Aged Himself for a Video
Recently, Adam Lambert unveiled his music video for “Getting Older,” and it features him getting completely transformed into a much elderly version of himself. The transformation was done with the help of both prosthetics and makeup and is a fitting look for the message of the song. Eilish’s “Getting Older” is about a young musician becoming disillusioned with their art after facing the opinions of deranged fans and dealing with superstar status. Lambert has a more literal take and decided to make himself older for his video.
In a recent interview, Lambert detailed his step-by-step transformation and pointed out how he had always wanted to do a complete makeup transformation. He added that although it took around four hours, the result was so lifelike he felt it was all worth it. Regarding the song’s sentiment, the singer said that no matter how old a person is, they would feel the things that the lyrics described. He also remarked that singing the song felt very confessional to him.
The Album Is Filled With Covers
“Getting Older” is featured on Adam Lambert’s new album, High Drama. It is filled with covers and drops on February 24th, 2023. High Drama marks his fifth solo album since he won second place on American Idol in 2009. Since then, he has also toured extensively with the legendary rock band Queen and took the role of a stand-in for the late singer Freddie Mercury. In 2020, Queen released a live compilation album called Live Around the World, featuring songs they played live with Adam Lambert.
This TikTok Ramen Lasagna Recipe Is About to Become Your Favorite Dinner
Who hasn’t just scrolled on TikTok, then suddenly found themselves in a rabbit hole of viral recipes? Well, with the internet’s obsession with ramen, this recipe was bound to be born. This Ramen Lasagna might seem like a completely ridiculous idea, but trust us, this weird recipe is about to become your new favorite weekday dinner meal.
How to Make Ramen Lasagna
The recipe comes from TikTok user @ramenkingivan, and true to his name, his just as excited by ramen as we are. He’s devised this surprisingly easy and delicious recipe that’s about to become a staple in your home.
Ingredients
2 packed ramen noodles (flavor doesn’t matter as you don’t need the seasoning packet) 2 cups pasta sauce 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
Directions
Step 1
To build our lasagna base, place half the dry noodles of one packet at the bottom of a small oven-safe glass dish. On top, pour pasta sauce generously. Grate some of your cheddar on top of the source, then cover it with the remaining ramen from that packet.
Step 2
To build your layers, repeat the process, making sure to add a generous amount of pasta sauce to each level, and more grated cheddar on top to make it extra cheesy. Cover with half the ramen from the second packet. Then add more sauce and cheese. Take the final half of the ramen and crumble it on top of your lasagna so it can create a crumble layer.
Step 3
Add extra cheese on top (you can never have enough cheese), then put in the oven for 30-45 minutes at 350°F until the noodles are fully cooked. Once done, take your beautiful creation out of the oven and enjoy the heavenly taste.
Adding Flare
To add something extra to your ramen lasagna, a chef who tried this viral recipe suggests tossing in some cooked Italian sausage, creamy ricotta, or frozen spinach. If you really want that Italian flavor to come through, you can also exchange the cheddar for mozzarella.
