Although a wedding nowadays may not have many fashion rules as those in the past – it’s still tricky to decide what to wear. Maybe they count as unspoken rules, but there are still some do’s and don’ts that a person must follow when attending such an important event to avoid stares all evening with less than favorable eyes. As long as you follow some simple conditions, you should be fine and enjoy an evening of good time!

Do’s and Don’ts

Don’t Overue the Couple

Perhaps one of the most important rules to follow at a wedding nowadays is to avoid attire that will outshine the bride and groom. After all, it is their special day, so they should be the most fabulous from head to toe. So, as long as you fight the urge to be the most outstanding at the party – you should be just fine. Let the bride and groom have their special day!

Don’t Overue the Couple

Be Mindful of the Shoes

It’s important to be comfortable at an event that will go on for hours, and perhaps even the wee small hours of the night. So shoes are important to keep in mind. Be comfortable but don’t go overboard, as if taking a stroll through the park. Don’t slip on some flip-flops and call it a night. It’s not appropriate shoe attire for a special event. Rather, choose shoes with a lower heel that will hold your foot in the correct position.

Wear a Simple Neckline

Keep in mind that a wedding is an event that will host a multitude of people, from children to seniors. It’s not the brightest idea to have a dress with a plunging neckline that makes it easy for everyone to stare where they’re not supposed to. Think about it and choose a neckline that flatters your body but keeps certain parts covered well enough and is modest.

A Wedding – No Place for Casual

Such a large, important part is not the place to parade your casual, laid-back style. Sure, it’s important to be comfortable with the clothes on your back, but don’t throw on your day dress or some outfit you might wear for a stroll through town. Keep in mind that it is a special occasion after all, so maybe up the level just a bit and wear something a bit more fancy for the evening!

A Wedding – No Place for Casual

A wedding is a big event – an event that will be loads of fun, no doubt, and will be the perfect place to showcase a beautiful style. But keep particular recommendations in mind so you don’t look out of place but are still plenty comfortable and classy!

Adam Lambert Turned Into an Elderly Version of Himself for a VideoRecently, Adam Lambert unveiled his music video for “Getting Older,” and it features him getting completely transformed into a much elderly version of himself. The transformation was done with the help of both prosthetics and makeup and is a fitting look for the message of the song. Eilish’s “Getting Older” is about a young musician becoming disillusioned with their art after facing the opinions of deranged fans and dealing with superstar status. Lambert has a more literal take and decided to make himself older for his video.

In a recent interview, Lambert detailed his step-by-step transformation and pointed out how he had always wanted to do a complete makeup transformation. He added that although it took around four hours, the result was so lifelike he felt it was all worth it. Regarding the song’s sentiment, the singer said that no matter how old a person is, they would feel the things that the lyrics described. He also remarked that singing the song felt very confessional to him.
